Cllr McLeod referred to his position on the Development & Control Committee at TDC
P036/12 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Town Planning meeting held on 8th August 2012 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.
P037/12 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
Bernards Site – Councillor Flavell was reassured by Mr P Fletcher’s comments confirming TDC were in discussions with the current owner, but felt the HTC should inform TDC that they only welcome the existing building being demolished, subject to the site being adequately cleared and boarded up.
RESOLVED: Clerk to write to TDC confirming that HTC only agree for the existing building to be demolished subject to the site being adequately cleared and boarded up.
P038/12 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 3rd August, 10th August, 17th August and 24th August.
RESOLVED: Recommendations in Appendix ‘A’ be submitted to Tendring District Council.
P039/12 MATTERS RECEIVED IN POST OR INFORMATION ITEMS RAISED BY MEMBERS
- Application for the Grant of a Premises Licence – One Stop Newsbox & Convenience Store
Cllr Double declared an interest as a director of the Co op who owns the freehold.
RESOLVED: HTC have no objection - Invite to Planning Committee Site Visit – 32 West Street
RESOLVED: Cllrs I Henderson and Todd to represent HTC and attend the site visit on 4th September 2012.

The next Town Planning meeting will be held at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich, on 19th September 2012 at 6.30pm.
