held at The 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich
on Wednesday 21st November 2012 commencing at 6.30pm

P062/12 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

P063/12 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Cllr McLeod referred to his position on the Development & Control Committee at TDC
Cllr Day declared an interest with regard to application 12/01216/FUL – AJ Woods
Engineering Ltd due to his association with that company.
Cllr Double declared an interest with regard to application 12/01199/FUL – Harwich
& Dovercourt Independent Funeral Service Ltd
P064/12 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED that the minutes of the Town Planning meeting held on Wednesday 31st October 2012 (previously circulated) be approved by the Committee and signed by the Chairman as a true record.
P065/12 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
Cllr Calver updated members on an issue raised at the last planning committee regarding the Hangings. Confirmation was given that officers at TDC were aware of the issue of gates in the fence boundaries which lead on to the Hangings and is currently being reviewed by the legal team for consideration. The amount of compensation available is in excess of £50,000. Cllr Flavell questioned why the exact figure was not in the public domain and would contact TDC directly to ask questions.
P066/12 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending
2nd November 2012, 9th November and 16th November 2012.
RESOLVED: Recommendations in Appendix ‘A’ be submitted to Tendring District Council.
P067/12 BATHSIDE BAY PLANNING APPLICATION 10/00201/FUL
Members reviewed correspondence received from Department for Communities and Local Government. Cllr Mcleod informed members of the update received from Martin Fulcher, TDC and informed members that HTC will have the opportunity to make representation at a later date. Cllr McLeod invited councillors to put their views to the office if they felt it was necessary to make representation in the future.
PO68/12 MATTERS RECEIVED IN POST OR INFORMATION RAISED BY MEMBERS
Cllr McLeod welcomed the news that ATS is being demolished as it has been an eyesore for a long time and noted that work was due to start on the old school site on Monday but appears not to have commenced.

The next Town Planning meeting will be held at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich, on 12th December 2012 at 6.30pm.
