MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF HARWICH TOWN COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE
HELD ON 9th JUNE 2010 at 6.30pm
at 1912 CENTRE, COW LANE, HARWICH
Present: Councillor S Henderson in the Chair
Councillors J Brown, P Burke, R Callender, G Calver, A Colbourne, D McLeod, L Payne and J Wares

P01/10 APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHAIRMAN
The Clerk informed the Committee that the Chairman, Councillor B Brown and The Mayor, Councillor S Tyrer were unable to attend the meeting and asked for nominations for Vice Chairman.
RESOLVED: that Councillor S Henderson is appointed Vice-Chairman for the municipal year 2010/2011.
P02/10 APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors B Brown, L Double, M Gardner, D Rutson and S Tyrer.
P03/10 DECLARATIONS OF MEMBERS’ INTERESTS
Councillors J Brown and McLeod declared they are members of Tendring District Council’s Development and Control Committee.
P04/10 MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING
RESOLVED: that the minutes of the meeting held on 12th May 2010 (previously circulated) be approved by the Vice Chairman and signed as a true record.
P05/10 PLANNING APPLICATIONS
The Committee considered a schedule of planning applications for weeks ending 7th May, 14th May, 21st May and 28th May 2010.
RESOLVED: that the recommendations of Appendix ‘A’ are submitted to Tendring District Council.
P06/10 UNTIDY SITE – LAND ADJACENT 1 ORWELL TERRACE
The Committee noted a letter received from Tendring District Council regarding giving consideration if the site requires the service of a formal Notice.
P07/10 FORMER HMS GANGES SITE, SHOTLEY, IPSWICH
The Committee noted that a Public Inquiry is to be held at The Maltings Suite, Kersey Mill, Ipswich on 24th June 2010 regarding the former HMS Ganges Site, Shotley – Application No. B/00/0131/RES
P08/10 DATE OF THE NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Town Planning Committee will be held at 6.30pm on 30th June 2010 at the 1912 Centre, Cow Lane, Harwich.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 6.55pm
