On Wednesday 1st February 2023, Harwich Town Council is marking the 70th anniversary of the 1953, North Sea Flood with a Commemoration Service at St Nicholas Church at 1100hrs followed by a Rededication of the Flood Memorial Garden and Opening of Memorial Garden in Wellington Road.

King Charles III's coronation is set to take place on Saturday May 6, 2023 at Westminster Abbey with the Government marking the occasion with the addition of a Bank Holiday on Monday 8th May 2023.

Follow the events of the Coronation of King Charles III, live on the big screen, courtesy of Harwich Town Council at the Electric Palace Cinema in Harwich on Saturday 6th May from 10am.  Refreshments will be available to purchase but entry is free of charge. Booking is essential.

Take a tour around the Grade I listed Guildhall as it opens its door for this year's Heritage Open Days event. Honorary archivists, Ray Plummer and Anne Kemp-Luck will be on hand to show off the gems of this centuries old building and answer any questions you have.

Join us along with a convoy of thousands of other bikes on the 60 mile journey from the home of Essex & Herts Air Ambulance at North Weald Airfield to the historic town of Harwich where we will celebrate with the Family Fun day on the green. Pre-registration for the ride is now open.
